Introducing GabrielSoft ID: A New and Improved Login Experience is Coming Soon

We’re excited to announce something big is coming this fall: GabrielSoft ID and Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for GabrielSoft websites. These updates will not only enhance your current login process but are designed to give you a safer, smoother, and more seamless experience–one step closer to a fully unified login for all your GabrielSoft products.

What’s changing?

Currently, anyone who has log-in access to an GabrielSoft website is able to choose a unique Username and Password that allows secure access to your specific website. Over the years, as security measures have improved in the tech space, better and even more secure login methods have arisen.

So, what exactly is changing? Currently, you use a Username and Password to log into your GabrielSoft-powered website. Once this change goes live, the website login will ask for an Email instead of a Username, and your email will now serve as your new GabrielSoft ID. You’ll also be prompted to set up 2FA for your account at the same time.

What does this mean for you?

The great news is: If everyone on your team already has their own email address associated with their current GabrielSoft website login, you don’t need to do anything right now! When the new login experience rolls out, we'll let you know when it's time to set up your GabrielSoft ID–remember, it’s the same email currently associated with your website login!–and enable 2FA for added security.

But if you’re still sharing an email address between two or more users, now’s the time to assign each website user their own unique email address. It’s a quick fix that’ll ensure everyone’s ready when the changes take effect.

Here's what you can do to get ready

Once this change is in place, every Admin, Publisher, and Author will log in with their own email address–in other words, one person to one account. That means:

If you have more than one user account for yourself on the same website (like both an Admin and a Publisher account), we recommend keeping just the account with the permissions you need and deleting any extras. This will make setting up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) smooth and easy since each account requires a unique mobile number for 2FA; OR
If multiple people log into your website using the same login credentials, you’ll need to create unique login accounts for each user. If your team is already set up this way, you’re all set! If not, no worries–just make sure each user has their own user account ASAP. Having a unique email is necessary for this change.

Here’s what you can expect to see when the change arrives:

Security is a big deal, and we’re adding an extra layer of protection with 2FA. After you enter your password, you’ll be prompted to set up 2FA by retrieving a six-digit security code via text message or through your preferred authenticator app (e.g., Google Authenticator, Authy, etc.) to complete the login.

To speed up future logins, check the "REMEMBER THIS DEVICE" option to stay verified on all your trusted devices–no need to enter the security code again for 30 days.

We’re making this as easy as possible for you! When it's time, you'll hear from us about setting up your GabrielSoft ID and enable 2FA. This will be a breeze if your team already has individual email logins.

Why is this important?

As a GabrielSoft customer, you’ve been using the same login process for a while now. You click the Login link in the footer of your GabrielSoft-powered website, enter your login credentials, and boom–you’re in your website admin dashboard. While the log-in button you know and love isn’t going away, this change helps us work towards something even better.

With GabrielSoft ID and 2FA, we’re taking a big step toward a safer, more seamless login experience. This update not only enhances security but also moves us closer to a fully unified platform–eventually, you’ll have access to all your GabrielSoft products through this new login method.
